I can't believe I'm admitting this...
"I know how hard it is to take photos of pets because when I started I had no idea what I was doing! And, there weren't a lot of resources out there to help me either. I remember how difficult it was to get the pet in the right spot, then pose and try to get expression, all while nailing the lighting, and all without an assistant!
Let me tell you what... I didn't get it right much in the beginning. I might get a good expression, but my lighting was off. Or, I would look back at the image and hate the posing.
I was terrified my clients would see right through me (that I had no idea what I was doing!) and leave unhappy, but I kept practicing, taking workshops, and pretended to look like I was in total control! It took a long time for me to get comfortable and be confident in what I could do.
